ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A person is dead after a multi-car crash broke out on a DeKalb County highway Saturday morning.
DeKalb County police were called to the scene on Highway 78 EB near Mountain Industrial Boulevard at around 6 a.m. Video from the scene shows debris scattered across the roadway, which has been shut down by emergency personnel.
As of 9:55 a.m., the road is still closed.
According to police, multiple cars were damaged in the incident. Officers believe it may have been caused by a wrong-way driver.
The victim has not yet been identified.
