One person was killed and three others were seriously hurt in a crash involving a box truck overnight in Brockton, Massachusetts.
Brockton police were called to the serious crash at the intersection of Quincy and Centre streets around 1:30 a.m. Friday and arrived to find a car with four people had been involved in a collision with a box truck.

One man died from his injuries, police said, while three other people in the car have serious injuries. Video from the scene showed their badly mangled vehicle being towed from the scene later Friday morning.
The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office identified the man who died as Shane Spillane, a 26-year-old from Braintree. They said the truck’s driver was hospitalized as well.
Surveillance video shows the car, which was traveling west on Centre Street, hit the driver’s side of the truck, headed north on Quincy Street, in the middle of the intersection, prosecutors said, noting the traffic lights were working at the time of the crash.
Officials didn’t say whether charges would be filed, only that a Massachusetts State Police investigation was underway.
