Two people are dead and another person is injured following a two-vehicle crash in Burlington County, New Jersey.
According to New Jersey State Police, on Monday, Sept. 1, 2025, troopers responded to a motor vehicle crash on US Highway 206, at the intersection of Quaker Bridge Road.

Police said, based on preliminary investigation, Derek Gantham, 21, of Tabernacle, was driving a Ford 350 pickup truck traveling south on US. 206. At the same time, John E. Hawley, 66, was operating a Toyota passenger car west on Quaker Bridge Road, approaching the intersection of US 206, with passenger Theresa Hawley, 66, both from Marlton.
The two vehicles collided at the intersection of US HWY 206 and Quakerbridge Road, police said. After the collision, the Toyota overturned into the Atision Lake, police shared.
Police said John E. Hawley and Theresa Hawley sustained fatal injuries. Derek Gantham sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
An accident had shut down all southbound lanes of Route 206 north of Atsion Lake for hours.
NBC10 was on scene to find multiple cop cars and a fire truck, along with a pickup truck with a damaged front end.
The crash remains under investigation, according to police.
