INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Two people were hospitalized Thursday morning after their vehicle collided and became pinned under a semi trailer on Indy’s south side.
The call for a crash with injuries was reported around 10:43 a.m. at the intersection of Shelby and Raymond streets.
When IMPD officers arrived, they found a sedan jammed underneath the flatbed trailer of a semi.
Two people, a man and a juvenile, became trapped inside the sedan and had to be cut free by first responders. They were taken to hospitals with nonlife-threatening injuries, IMPD says.
Police did not say what led up to the crash, but added the semi driver stayed on scene and is cooperating with investigators.
Traffic delays are expected while crews are on the scene.
