One person is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after two pedestrians were struck by a car Wednesday night in Surrey.
Surrey police, firefighters and BC Emergency Health Services all responded to the collision, which happened around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 3) at 124 Street and 92 Avenue.
Both pedestrians were taken to area hospitals, one with minor injuries and one, with life-threatening injuries, Surrey Police Service media relations officer Sgt. Tige Pollock confirmed Thursday morning.
"The driver of the motor vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with police," Pollock said, adding that "alcohol or impairments is not believed to be a factor at this point."
The SPS Collision Investigation Unit has been notified and is assisting with the investigation, as well as ICARS (RCMP's Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service).
