Warrington Township Police Sgt. Kenneth Hawthorn told NBC10 that two cars were involved – an SUV with one person and a sedan with four people – when the crash happened.
“It’s a narrow road, so any accident on this road is a shame,” Hawthorn said.
Police shared in an update on Saturday, Nov. 1, that three teenagers who were in the sedan died. A fourth teen, who was also in the sedan, still remains in extremely critical condition at a hospital in Philadelphia.
The driver of the SUV was not injured, according to police.
NBC10 crews were at the scene and saw a large police presence on Bristol Road as well as two vehicles with severe damage.

Police stated that the most severe damage was to the sedan, concentrated on the passenger side.
A preliminary investigation and witness accounts suggested that the sedan was traveling eastbound on Bristol Road, while the SUV was traveling westbound. Police said as the sedan approached a downward crest in the narrow roadway, it appeared the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to cross into the path, westbound, of the oncoming SUV.
The road was closed for an extended period while police investigated.
The local fire department was at the scene assisting after it was reported that there was a smell of gasoline, Hawthorn explained. The police department’s reconstruction team was also at the crash site to determine what had caused the crash.
Police said Warrington officers and detectives have been working through the night to identify all of the individuals involved.
“This is a heartbreaking and tragic situation. Our hearts and prayers are with the families and friends of those involved during this unimaginable time,” Warrington Township Police said in a statement.
