A large fire broke out in the car park of a Cambridgeshire hospital this evening.
Fire crews have been responding to a blaze involving multiple vehicles on the second floor of car park one at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
More than 30 firefighters including Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service (CFRS) crews and those from neighbouring fire and rescue services and other specialist vehicles have been at the scene since around 6pm.

A spokesperson for CFRS said: “Crews are working hard to contain the fire and stop it from spreading.
“Please avoid the area as we deal with this incident and find alternative routes.
“There are not thought to be any injuries at this time.”
In an update issued at 6.30pm, CFRS said crews are making good progress.

The spokesperson added: “They will continue to be present throughout the evening and overnight to continue extinguishing the fires checking for hotspots and to dampen down the area.
“Road closures on site remain in place.”
Police are also at the scene assisting fire crews.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Constabulary said: “Residents are urged to stay clear of the area and close windows and doors due to the smoke.
“Access is currently limited/restricted and road closures are in place on Robinson Way, Puddicombe Way, Adrian Way and Richard Howe Way.”
