A crash closed the southbound lanes of Capital Boulevard next to U.S. Route 1 in Wake Forest Sunday afternoon. 
As of 2:25 p.m., the road has reopened.
Wake Forest Police Department said a two-car crash closed southbound lanes on Capital Boulevard at Jenkins Road. This scene is in front of a major shopping center in Wake Forest.
According to authorities, at least four people were injured and taken to the hospital. The cause of the crash and the severity of the injuries are unclear.
