The carbon clad hot hatch has been leaked after being shown at a dealer event
The Toyota GR Corolla is an impressive hot hatch, but the company hasn’t exactly been shy about plans to introduce an even more extreme variant. A GRMN prototype was spied on the Nürburgring in the fall of 2024 and it appears the model is about ready to celebrate its big debut.

Photos and videos have emerged from what appears to be a dealer event, which show an extreme hatchback with a ventilated carbon fiber hood. They’re joined by new vents above and behind the front fenders. We can also see lightweight wheels that have a bronze finish and are backed up by bright red calipers.
Track-Ready Design
The rear end appears to largely carryover, but the model has an aggressive diffuser and a carbon fiber rear wing. They’re joined by a familiar three tailpipe exhaust system.
The interior has been given a racing-inspired makeover as there are lightweight sport seats wrapped in leather and microfiber upholstery. The latter material can also be found on the sport steering wheel and six-speed manual transmission, which also features red accents. More notably, there’s a “GRMN” badge behind the drive mode selector.
More Power To Come
We can expect the learn full details relatively soon, but there’s little doubt the GRMN Corolla will be more extreme than the regular model. As a refresher, the 2025 GR Corolla has a turbocharged 1.6-liter three-cylinder engine with 300 hp (224 kW / 304 PS) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. It can be paired to either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Buyers will also find all-wheel drive as well as front and rear limited slip differentials.
This enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.9 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 143 mph (230 km/h). The GRMN Corolla will likely be even faster, especially given its focus on weight loss.
