KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – City leaders tell owners of some independent used car lots to clean up their property.
The city council approved a plan during a Sept. 11 meeting that established standards for any new used car lots that open in the future.
The requirements include:
City council members said they passed the new rules after hearing from residents who complained about messy and overcrowded used car lots.
Car lots that are already legally operating are not required to follow the new requirements unless they expand.
