A Milford child suffered minor injuries after they were struck by a vehicle on Friday, Sept. 12, when they ran into the road, police said.
The 6-year-old child was taken to a local hospital to be treated for undisclosed injuries after the 2:27 p.m. pedestrian crash on Cape Road.
“It looks like the child ran out of a house and ran into the street,” Police Chief Robert Tusino said.
The child was struck by the window of the vehicle. Tusino said the injury appeared minor but due to the child’s age, the child was taken to the hospital.

Cape Road was closed for about a half-hour out of “an abundance of caution,” Tusino said. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating, he said.
The driver has not been charged or cited, but the crash remains under investigation.
“We don’t know (if the driver will face charges) at this time,” Tusino said. “We have to process the scene and get more information. It’s too early to tell.”
