WESTPORT — The southbound side of the Merritt Parkway is closed in Westport early Monday after a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle, according to state officials.
The state Department of Transportation's traffic monitoring site showed the southbound lanes of the Merritt Parkway were closed between exits 27 and 21 for a crash.

The agency said the incident was first reported at 4:20 a.m. 
No information on injuries was immediately available.
Southbound traffic was stopped up to around exit 27, the DOT's traffic site showed.
