A pedestrian has died after a crash on a main road in Oldham.
It happened on Glodwick Road in the Glodwick area of the town early this morning (Thursday).
Emergency services were called at 5.55am after the pedestrian was hit by the vehicle on the stretch of the road close to Harveys Workwear and Glodwick Primary Care Centre.
Despite the best efforts of medics, he died at the scene.

An investigation by Greater Manchester Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is now underway.
"At around 5.50am this morning (18 September 2025), officers responded to a road traffic collision on Glodwick Road, Oldham," a GMP spokesperson said.
"Sadly, a pedestrian died at the scene.

"A scene remains in place and enquiries are ongoing."
The road remains taped off this afternoon as enquiries into the collision continue.
A white coloured Vauxhall car can be seen inside the cordon and was being inspected by officers this morning.
