A pedestrian was flown to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Groton, Massachusetts, on Saturday afternoon.
Police and fire crews responded to the crash on Main Street around 2:07 p.m. and found a pedestrian with serious injuries.

A preliminary investigation revealed the car was traveling eastbound on Main Street in the center of town when it struck a pedestrian who was crossing the roadway at a crosswalk, officials said.
The victim, whose name has not been released, was taken by LifeFlight to UMass Medical Center.
Police haven’t said what caused the incident, or if the driver will face any charges.
Further information was not immediately available.
An investigation is ongoing.
