Rhode Island State Police are inviting the public to visit the Wickford Barracks today for a child car seat check-up.
The event takes place today from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
State Police say there will be certified child passenger safety technicians on-site to install car seats or make sure yours are installed correctly.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, child safety seats reduce fatal crash injuries by 71-percent for infants and 54-percent for toddlers in passenger vehicles
