EVERETT, Wash. — Part of southbound Interstate 5 is closed in Everett Wednesday morning after a deadly crash.
Washington State Patrol Trooper Kelsey Harding said a motorcycle and a car collided near the Everett Mall.
The HOV lane and two left lanes are blocked.
"This is an extended closure while troopers on scene investigate this tragic collision," Harding said in an X post at 4:03 a.m.
Traffic is getting by in the right lane.
As of 6 a.m., traffic was backed up 5 miles, approaching US 2.
It is not known when the crash will be cleared.
