A car flipped onto its roof during a “nasty” crash in North Watford this afternoon – leaving one person hospitalised.
Herts Police attended the A405 North Orbital Road, near the M1 junction 6, with reports of the smash involving a red Ford Focus and blue Vauxhall Meriva at around 3.08pm (October 1).
The fire service was called to assist as one of the cars had ended up on its roof. No one was trapped and firefighters left the scene by around 4pm after providing initial treatment and making the area safe.

A 53-year-old man was left in the care of the East of England Ambulance Service.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called just before 3.10pm to a road traffic collision on the North Orbital Road (A405) in Watford. An ambulance and ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene. One patient was transported to Watford General Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
Herts Police closed part of the road and advised motorists to “seek alternative routes at this current time due to traffic build up” shortly after the crash.
