Lamborghini could be working on off-road versions of the Revuelto and Temerario, according to a new report from Autocar.
Federico Foschini, Lamborghini's sales and marketing chief, said the brand is planning "crazier" new models following the success of the Hurácan Sterrato.
The Italian marque is also looking to increase customization without ramping up sales figures in an effort to maintain exclusivity.
With the Hurácan on its way out the door and the Revuelto arriving as the brand's new V-12 offering, Lamborghini sold more cars in 2024 than it had in any other year since the automaker was founded some six decades ago. Now, according to a new interview with Autocar, Lamborghini is on the hunt for fresh ways to excite customers without increasing sales figures by too much.
Speaking to the outlet, Federico Foschini, Lamborghini's head of sales and marketing, said that the company is planning "crazier" new models in the wake of the Hurácan Sterrato's success. "I think that we even didn’t leverage enough on the opportunity, because you can do a lot of stuff with the Sterrato, and I think that in the future, for sure, we can introduce at a certain moment in time this opportunity," Foschini said.
All but confirming the return of the Sterrato badge, Foschini told Autocar, "We know that this is ready, the market is there," the only hurdle he said is that "we have to execute it." Foschini implied that, rather than just sticking with a Sterrato version of the Temerario, the Hurácan's replacement, we can expect limited editions of both the Urus and the Revuelto.
Beyond just new derivatives of each model it sells, Foschini said that the brand is "always looking for crazy things in all dimensions." In that vein, Lamborghini is continuing to increase the customizability of its cars in an attempt to increase profitability without also increasing sales. "We want to keep the exclusivity," Foschini explained. One way the automaker is managing that balance is through a new paint shop that has increased the number of available colors for the Temerario and Revuelto to around 400.
