Shockingly, the pictures were taken only 20 minutes apart.
Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather said: “Don’t drive into floods. These photos were taken just 20 minutes apart near Bantry in Cork yesterday.
“As you can see in the photos during that time, the water levels rose high enough to nearly cover the car.
He added: “Bantry was also in Yellow warning yesterday while Kerry was in Orange.

“These county by county warnings need to change. Cork is too big to have one warning cover entire county.”
Many took to social media to share their shock at the pictures.
One person said: “That’s scary, the met service are warning people all the time not to drive on flooded roads but some people still chance it.”
Another added: “That’s really terrifying.”
Some, however, blame the driver for the situation.
One commenter said: “There is no better warning than actually seeing the flooded road with the option to turn, but as some say common sense is the issue.
“Even when it comes to traffic lights, many people don’t even stop when it’s red.”
Another wrote: “You could have purple warnings and it wouldn’t make any difference. People need to use own judgement.”
