A new hypercar co-developed by Pininfarina and Vittori packs a 6.8-liter V12 hybrid powertrain producing 1,100 horsepower
Update: While we’re still waiting to hear from Vittori, Pininfarina has already responded to our questions and, much to our surprise, confirmed that Artificial Intelligence was indeed part of the project’s design process.
“AI was instrumental in the early phases of design, allowing to quickly iterate through hundreds of potential directions,” a spokesperson told us. “Pininfarina then took that foundation, refined the ideas, and transformed them into a fully realized, running show car. With nearly a century of experience, Pininfarina elevated the design turning vision into reality with timeless proportion and craftsmanship.”

Few things stir excitement in the automotive world like the arrival of a new hypercar, especially one claiming to have been shaped by artificial intelligence. After a brief teaser campaign from Vittori that sparked curiosity, mostly over its AI design claims, the company has now lifted the curtain on its first project, the Turbio, developed in collaboration with Pininfarina.
The AI Question
One curious detail from the teaser campaign that has quietly vanished in Pininfarina’s official release is the phrase “AI-assisted design.” On its own, that claim might not surprise us in this day and age, but if it refers to the styling, it’s an odd one, to say the least.

After all, this project involves Pininfarina, arguably the most celebrated Italian design house, responsible for some of the most beautiful cars ever shaped and owned by the Mahindra Group since 2015. The notion that artificial intelligence might have had a hand in sculpting something attached to the Pininfarina name feels like creative blasphemy.
For its part, Pininfarina describes the collaboration as “based on an original visual concept by Vittori and designed in partnership with the legendary Italian design house Pininfarina.” That said, we’ve reached out to both Pininfarina and Vittorio to clarify the extent of AI’s involvement and will update this story if we hear back.
Design Cues and Influences
Back to the car, Visually, the Turbio looks quite unique, although some of the Bugatti, Lamborghini, and McLaren design influences are clear. The front end catches the eye thanks to a small, Bugatti-like grille that’s complemented by two large air intakes positioned directly below the headlights.
All of the usual mid-engined hypercar elements are visible on the car’s sides, including the large intakes and the low roofline. At the rear, there’s a striking engine cover, four tailpipes, and taillights unlike any other car we’ve seen before.
There’s no word on what platform underpins the Turbio and if it has been built from the ground up or is based on an existing car. However, as we noted in our original report, Vittori’s creation is exactly the same length as a Lamborghini Revuelto and has the same wheelbase, weight distribution, and dry weight – which may or may not be a coincidence.
Power and Performance
What we do know for sure is that it has a unique 6.8-liter naturally aspirated V12 built by Italtecnica. This engine is supplemented by an electric motor, allowing it to pump out a combined 1,100 hp that’s enough to send it to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.5 seconds. According to Vittori, the engine has a redline “close to 9,000 rpm.”
Inside, the cabin of the hypercar is just as dramatic as the exterior. The steering wheel features a unique mix of buttons and dials. It is complimented by a semi-digital instrument cluster, a portrait-oriented infotainment display and ambient lighting, as well as a combination of white, black, and blue leather upholstery.
As for pricing and production timing, both remain under wraps. Vittori has, however, opened pre-sales and confirmed that production will be capped at just 50 examples.
