The Ram 1500 Lowered blends muscle car energy and pickup practicality in one wild 650-hp supercharged package
Over the last decade or so, high-powered off-road trucks have taken over the top step of the pickup segment. In reality, many owners never really use them to the full, though, because (among other things) they’re made for mud and off-road settings.
On the other hand, street trucks like the Ford F-150 Lobo are in their element just about everywhere they go. That’s where Ram’s new 1500 Sport Truck comes into play. A product of a collaboration between Mopar and Fox Factory, it’s a 650 hp (485 kW) monster made to tear up the pavement.
Built For The Street With Hemi Power
We’ve known something fun was coming from the two brands since last week, but the finished product is even bolder than expected. Based on the Ram 1500 Big Horn, the Fox Factory Ram 1500 Lowered takes Mopar Direct Connection’s factory-backed tuning program and then adds aero bits, gold striping, and a slammed stance.

Under the hood sits a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 paired with a twin-screw Whipple supercharger that makes 650 horsepower through either rear- or four-wheel drive. A 3.92 rear axle ratio and 305/40R22 tires at each corner enable quick launches.
There’s also a cat-back exhaust tuned to make sure every stomp of the throttle sounds like an event, while an automatic gearbox is the only option.
While this truck clearly lives for speed, it’s still wildly capable. Max towing is 11,320 pounds, and payload tops out at 1,910. On top of that, this is still a four-door, five-seat pickup. The suspension setup, developed with Ridetech, lowers the front by 3 inches and the rear by 5.5 inches to level the stance.
Tubular control arms, traction bars, and coilovers all contribute to sharper steering and reduced wheel hop when launching hard.
Inside, you’ll find upgraded stitching and Mopar Connection logos. Buyers can select exterior paint colors of black, silver, white, two shades of gray, or blue. Pricing starts at $89,995, with options like leather and four-wheel drive pushing it close to $95,000
Theoretically, since it’s sold through Mopar Direct Connection, you’ll be able to order one through a participating Ram dealer and have it serviced there, too.
Street trucks like this have been missing from automakers’ modern lineups for too long, but the Fox Factory Ram 1500 proves there’s still plenty of life left in the class. It’s quick, brash, and far more practical for everyday driving than any TRX or Raptor could ever hope to be.
