YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Sales of new cars and trucks to customers living in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties improved in September compared with the same period a year ago, according to the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers’ Association.
The organization’s most recent report shows that dealers sold 2,438 new vehicles to area residents last month, compared with 2,152 sold in September 2024 – an increase of 13.2%.
Dealerships reporting the five highest registrations in volume include Boardman Subaru with 150; Fairway Ford, Canfield, and Toyota of Boardman with 131 each; Ken Ganley Kia Boardman with 118; and Toyota/Volvo of Warren with 112.
Used sales across the Mahoning Valley also rose during the month, the report shows. Dealerships in the three-county area said they collectively sold 2,039 used cars and trucks in September, compared with 1,890 sold a year earlier, an increase of 7.8%.
