Police said the A61 Dronfield bypass will remain closed
A woman has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was hit by a car on the A61 in Derbyshire.
Officers were called to the scene on the A61, Dronfield bypass, between Sheepbridge and Bowshaw, at 5:20 BST on Thursday and closed the road shortly after.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 40s, has been taken to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries, and police said her family had been made aware.
The force added there was "no indication" when the road would reopen and confirmed no arrests had been made.
