A car fire down a steep roadside bank in Whangārei caused a stir in a coastal community today.
The car was believed to have been down a bank near Scott Rd in Tamaterau, Whangārei Heads.
Hato Hone St John said no patients were involved in the incident.
Residents
Police told the Northern Advocate they were at the scene but were unable to provide any further details as the incident was unfolding.
Firefighters also attended.
Motorists travelling to and from Whangārei Heads were having to journey over Mt Tiger as the road was closed.
However, residents say it has since reopened.
