The crash was reported at 9:27 p.m. just south of the Escondido Canyon Road exit in Agua Dulce, involving a blue Lexus SUV, a green Ford Fiesta and a possible white truck, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Traffic Incident website.
Initial reports indicate the blue SUV struck the green Ford on the back right passenger side. The involvement of the third vehicle, described as a white truck, is still under investigation.
At 9:53 p.m., CHP officials shut down all northbound lanes of the 14 Freeway in the area and requested the Los Angeles County Coroner after confirming one fatality.

Two additional people were transported by ambulance to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
