Two people have died and three others are seriously injured, after a car crash in Waikato.
Police say two vehicles collided near the intersection of State Highway 1 and Horahora Road at Piarere, near Tirau.
Two people have died and the Serious Crash Unit is at the scene.
Hato Hone St John says two others are critically injured and a third is in a serious condition.
They’ve been taken to Waikato Hospital.
Significant diversions are in place, via State Highways 29 and 27.
