Columbus police are investigating after a motorcyclist and their passenger were killed Saturday, Oct. 18, in a collision with a car on the city’s West Side.
The crash occurred about 7 p.m. at the intersection of Hilliard Rome and Roberts road and involved a Honda Accord and the motocycle, according to police dispatch.
Police radio traffic indicates bystanders were performing CPR on the two people who were aboard the motorcycle. One person was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was pronounced dead at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, police dispatch said.
The driver of the Honda remained on the scene, police said.
In a separate incident, a motorcyclist was critically injured after crashing into a median wall early Sunday, Oct. 19.
The incident happened just after 12:35 a.m. on State Route 315 at Olentangy River Road.
No further information about either crash was immediately available.
