A FLIPPED police car on a major Southend road is likely to cause disruption in the surrounding area, Essex Police has confirmed.
The car appears to have rolled onto its roof following a crash on Victoria Avenue at around 12.55pm and is currently blocking the road.
Drivers have been advised to check for delays before they travel and plan their journey’s accordingly.

A spokesperson for Essex Police said: “We have closed the junction of Victoria Avenue and Great Eastern Avenue following a single-vehicle collision in Southend.
“It was reported that at about 12.55pm a police car was involved in a collision while responding to an incident and is currently blocking the road.
“We expect this incident to cause disruption to the surrounding road network. Divers should check before they travel and plan accordingly.”
