BEAVERTON, Ore. (KATU) — Two people in a stolen car ran from Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies in the Beaverton area on Friday, and Nike went into a brief “shelter in place” procedure as a precautionary measure.
The incident happened before 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Based on initial information, Nike security reported a suspicious vehicle on its campus.
The sheriff’s office ran the vehicle’s license plate and learned that it was stolen.
Responding deputies said they saw the vehicle driving on Murray Boulevard before it turned back toward the Nike campus. Two people then got out of the car and ran off, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies set up a containment for the suspects, however, that has since been called off.
