Emergency services were called out three times on Sunday evening following a series of road accidents across Luxembourg, which left a total of five people injured, including three in a serious collision on the A4 motorway.
At around 5.20pm, a car and a motorbike collided on the A4 motorway between Leudelange and the Cessange interchange, as both were heading towards the capital.
According to the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS), three people were injured, prompting the deployment of a large rescue operation involving fire crews from Leudelange and Mondercange, three ambulances from Luxembourg, Mamer, and Schifflange, and an emergency medical unit from Esch-sur-Alzette.
Later that evening, at around 9.30pm, a car veered off the road and ended up in a ditch on the CR106C between Niederpallen and Reichlange in western Luxembourg. One person was injured in the crash.
The final intervention of the night occurred shortly after midnight, when a car overturned on the N31 between Kayl-Poteau and Esch-sur-Alzette. One person was also injured in this accident.
