Police are seeking witnesses to a terrifying near miss at a pedestrian crossing south-east of Melbourne earlier this month.
Investigators said a speeding red Mazda 121 failed to stop at a red light and tore through a pedestrian crossing at Mornington, narrowly missing several people.
The incident happened about 10:30pm on October 3 at the intersection of Main Street and the Nepean Highway.
Five pedestrians were walking across the road at the time and were almost hit by the car.
Police said the car was recorded travelling 93 kilometres per hour in a 70 kph zone.
The Mazda had the registration number 1WG 6OE.

Victoria Police has released CCTV footage of the incident and has asked anyone who witnessed it or has information to contact CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.
The vision shows the car ploughing through the pedestrian crossing at speed, after several of the pedestrians rush to get out of the way.
Police want to speak to the pedestrians shown in the video.
Investigators believe some of them may have filmed the Mazda as it sped through the intersection.
