A woman was airlifted with serious injuries after her car hit the median and rolled over on Interstate 95 in Delaware, according to officials.
The crash happened just before 5 p.m. on Oct. 28 on the northbound lanes of I-95 near Airport Road in New Castle, officials said.

When first responders got to the scene, they found a Chevrolet Traverse that had rolled over and trapped the driver, a woman in her late seventies, inside, officials reported.
Crews with the fire department were able to free the woman before she was airlifted to a nearby hospital by the Delaware State Police Aviation team, according to officials.
A spokesperson with the Delaware State Police said that the Chevrolet had hit the center median before it rolled over onto its left side.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital by helicopter to be treated for a leg injury, state police said.
