BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. — Bernalillo County’s Animal Care Department is debuting its new outreach vehicle at two Halloween events Wednesday.
The county had the vehicle custom-built to bring 18 animals to outreach events and give them a comfortable, climate-controlled with clean water and a sanitary space throughout the event.
The vehicle’s first event from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. is at the Alvarado Square Trunk or Treat, near Fifth Street and Silver Avenue. The second is from 5-8 p.m. at Bubba’s 33, 4861 Pan American Fwy NE.
At these events, the vehicle will have a pair of adoptable pets you can meet. You’ll also be able to learn about the county’s animal services and how to support local pet adoption efforts.
