Durham police are searching for the drivers of two stolen vehicles involved in a wreck that snapped a utility pole in half on North Roxboro Street early Thursday.
Part of North Roxboro Street was closed Thursday morning as crews worked to repair the pole. About 800 power outages were also reported in the area. The Bojangles on North Roxboro was also closed due to the outage.

Police confirmed to WRAL that the two cars involved in the crash were stolen. Broadcastify police radio traffic just after midnight indicated that officers found that the ignition steering column was stripped in both vehicles.
The WRAL Breaking News Tracker captured video of the crash scene. One car crashed into a utility pole off North Roxboro Street and Monk Road around midnight. The airbags were deployed and there was damage to the front and rear of the car.
The other car involved ended up on North Roxboro Street facing the opposite direction of traffic. It had significant damage to the front.
Forensics investigators gathered evidence from the scene.
Durham police are trying to figure out what happened and trying to find the people involved in the crash.
