PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A woman is dead after a tree fell on her moving car late Thursday morning in the East Falls section of Philadelphia.
The crash happened around 11:53 a.m. in the 3700 block of West School House Lane.
According to police, the 44-year-old woman was in a silver 2016 Ford Mustang traveling westbound when the tree fell on the vehicle.
The woman was pronounced dead at 12:23 p.m.
It's now yet known why the tree fell, though heavy rain was falling in the city at the time.
The woman's name has not been released.
