Five people were reportedly injured after a crash at a fast food restaurant near the University of Texas at Austin early Halloween morning.
KVUE reports that the collision happened just before 2:30 a.m. Friday, October 31, at the Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers restaurant located at 415 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Austin, TX 78701. Austin police told the local news outlet that five people were hit by a vehicle and four of those were taken to a hospital.
APD added that none of their injuries appear to be life-threatening. In KVUE videos of the crash aftermath, a white truck appears to be pushed up against the wall of the Raising Cane’s restaurant, while another white car is right in front of it.
Although it’s unclear what caused the crash at this time, police said the crash remains under investigation. No other details were available. The scene at Raising Cane’s was reportedly cleared by 4:45 a.m. and MySA confirmed the restaurant is open as of 9 a.m. today.
