A YOUNG woman has been airlifted to hospital after a serious road crash earlier today.
The smash happened on the B7005 near Wigtown, Dumfries and Galloway.

Two motors, Renault and Citroen hatchbacks, collided at the junction with the A714.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene around 12.10pm after the alarm was raised.
The driver of one of the cars, a 21-year-old woman, was flown to hospital by air ambulance.
Her condition is not currently known and two other people were taken to hospital by ambulance as a precaution.

Firefighters had to remove the Renault’s roof using specialist cutting equipment.
Cops have launched an investigation and enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.10pm on Saturday, 1 November, 2025, we were called to a two-vehicle crash on the B7005 at the A714 near Wigtown.

“Emergency services attended and the driver of one of the vehicles, a 21-year-old woman, was taken by air ambulance to hospital.
“Two other people were taken by road ambulance to hospital as a precaution.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We received a call at 12.23pm of a RTC on the B7005 at the junction with the A714. We had three appliances in attendance.”
