A roadmap details what to expect in Wreckreation’s updates this month and beyond.
Developed by the original creators of Burnout, Wreckreation was released last week. In response to player feedback, two PC patches have already addressed numerous issues, with console patches expected to follow soon.
Now, developer Three Fields Entertainment has released a roadmap detailing what players can expect in updates over the next few weeks and beyond.
Following the first two patches, a third patch will be released next week. This patch will improve the handling and make some cars more responsive, preventing them from spinning out when not drifting. Crash physics will also be more consistent.
In addition, Wreckreation will receive its first post-launch DLC, with four additional cars joining the roster this month: the Huntsville Nebraska, Mitani Suprema, Freiberg AMG W Class and Delon Mulsanne, with the latter two being track-based. Each vehicle will have its own Wreckoning event, which will unlock an upgraded version, doubling the number of new cars to eight.
Although there is no release date yet, Three Fields aims to release the DLC pack in the third week of November. It’s unclear whether it will be free or paid DLC.
Additional Live Mix objects will also be added, including narrow straights and curves that connect to the existing Spiral and Sky Tracks, as well as PlayStation 5 Pro support, allowing the game to run at a native 4K and 60fps.
One of the most highly requested features, the developer is working on adding crossplay multiplayer support across all platforms, though there is no timeframe yet. This will be a welcome addition since Wreckreation is an online-focused game, making it easier to matchmake with other players in multiplayer sessions.
Buildings will also be added LiveMix editor in response to criticisms about the map being empty and lacking urban areas.
This week also saw the release of a second PC patch, which makes AI opponents easier to catch up with in Road Rage and fixes a bumper cam glitch where the viewpoint didn’t sync with the car’s pitch.
PC Patch 2 – already live as of November 3rd.
