WEST JORDAN, Utah (KUTV) — A girl was seriously injured after getting hit by a car.
Sgt. Hercules with the West Jordan Police Department said the girl was trying to cross the road when a northbound vehicle struck her just before 6 p.m. on Thursday.
The driver reportedly remained at the scene and is cooperating.

As of 7:20 p.m., the girl was hospitalized but conscious, breathing, and alert.
Hercules said he has not heard if substances were involved.
