She won’t be taken for a ride!
Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-Nevada) has leveled a bizarre accusation against her colleague, Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio) — saying he “creepily” spied on congressional cars to prove a point about driving safety mandates. 
“Instead of @berniemoreno creepily following us to the cars we use to get to work in the Capitol and writing down their VIN numbers, I’d suggest he use his time in more productive ways,” Rosen tweeted Wednesday.
Her comments came after an explosive Senate Commerce Committee in which the Republican congressman admitted to getting vehicle identification numbers from Democratic senators’ cars to highlight what he called the party’s “hypocrisy” about safety technology. 
During the heated hearing, Moreno said he got the VIN numbers to reveal that the Democratic senators’ cars didn’t have the optional driver-assistance features that they have pushed to require in federal workers’ cars.
“I object to you stalking my car and my staff to find the VIN numbers to present to this committee,” Rosen said, according to footage of the hearing.
“It’s visible from the outside of the car,” Moreno fired back about the VINs, which can generally be seen through the front windshield.
“So you went and followed me to see who drives me? Wrote down their VIN number so you could find out what they have? That seems a little creepy,” Rosen said.
“Just to expose the hypocrisy,” Moreno replied.
Rosen called the move an “overreach” and a violation of her and her staff’s privacy, and demanded that Moreno turn over the VINs and say on the record what he plans to do with them.
“If you came and asked me for my VIN, I will tell you what I have in my car,” Rosen said.
A rep for Rosen also didn’t immediately return an email from The Post.
“Senator Moreno utilized information that is available to the general public to expose Democrats’ hypocrisy, and their willingness to hold Americans to a higher standard than themselves,” said Reagan McCarthy, a spokesperson for Moreno. “It’s a shame that Democrats choose to engage in selective outrage while they allow federal workers to miss their paychecks.”
