Ahigh-intensity explosion occurred in a slow-moving car outside the Red Fort in central Delhi on Monday evening (November 10, 2025), killing at least 10 people and injuring several others in front of the Red Fort. 
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that “all possibilities are being explored and a thorough investigation will be conducted, taking all options into account.”

Following the explosion, the cause of which was yet to be disclosed by the police, a nationwide alert was sounded, leading to enhanced security in crowded areas.
Mr. Shah said that around 7 p.m. a blast occurred in a Hyundai i20 car, due to which nearby vehicles were damaged and a few pedestrians were injured.

Iran in India expresses its deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the Delhi blast.
“The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in India expresses its deep sorrow over the loss of lives and injuries of several Indian citizens in the car blast incident in Delhi, and extends its sincere condolences to the Government and the people of the Republic of India. The Embassy also conveys its heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved families of the victims and wishes patience and comfort for them, as well as a speedy recovery for those injured in this tragic incident,” posted Iran in India.
The Delhi Police detained the owner of the Hyundai i20 car in Gurugram after an explosion occurred near the Red Fort on Monday evening, said a Police source.

The United States on Monday (November 10, 2025) said it is closely monitoring the situation and stands ready to provide consular assistance in the wake of the deadly bomb blast near Red Fort in New Delhi that has killed at least eight people and injured many more.
A State Department spokesperson told PTI that “we are aware of the explosion near Red Fort in Delhi. We are closely monitoring the situation and stand ready to provide consular assistance.”

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta expressed condolences and ensured assistance to affected people in the blast.
“The incident of the car explosion near the Red Fort is extremely distressing and alarming. I express my deepest condolences to those who have lost their loved ones in this tragic accident. I pray to God that the injured recover swiftly,” said CM Gupta.
“Every possible assistance is being ensured for the affected people. Teams from the Delhi Police, NSG, NIA, and FSL are working together to conduct a thorough investigation into the entire matter. I appeal to all Delhi residents to beware of rumors and maintain peace. Please rely only on official information issued by the police and administration,” she added.

Security will be tightened across Karnataka in the wake of the blast in Delhi. Speaking to reporters in Mysuru on Monday (November 10, 2025) evening, Mr. Siddaramaiah said he will speak to State’s Director General of Police to beef up security across the State.
Directions had been issued to take all necessary security measures at railway stations, bus stands, airports, and other densely populated areas, he said.
“I have spoken to the Mysuru City police. I will also speak to Bengaluru City police and the State Director General of police and other senior officials,” said Mr. Siddaramaiah.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed shock over the blast near Red Fort in Delhi, which left eight people dead and several others injured.

Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma has said the incident of the explosion that occurred in Delhi is extremely tragic and painful.
“I express my deepest condolences to the families of the citizens who lost their lives in this heart-wrenching accident. May God grant peace to the departed souls and a speedy and complete recovery to the injured,” he wrote on X.
In view of the gravity of the incident, all security agencies in the State have been directed to remain on high alert, enhance vigilance, and maintain strict surveillance, Mr. Sharma said.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai expresses condolences after a blast in Delhi.
“The incident of the explosion in a car near the Red Fort in Delhi is extremely heart-wrenching. I express my deepest condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I pray to God for the speedy recovery of the injured,” said Mr. Sai.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that the news of civilian casualties in the car explosion near the Red Fort in Delhi is “extremely heartbreaking”.

When asked if it was a terrorist attack, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, “We are keeping all angles open and investigating from all angles. It is very difficult to say what caused the incident. 
“Until the samples recovered from the blast site are analysed by FSL and NSG, it is difficult to say anything about it. However, we do not consider any angle closed. We will investigate all angles with determination,” said Mr. Shah.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan strongly condemned the “heinous bomb blast” near Delhi’s Red Fort. 
“This cowardly act is an attack on our nation and its people. Heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. Kerala stands in steadfast solidarity with the people of Delhi in this hour of grief,” he wrote on X.
“Urge the authorities to ensure that those behind this heinous act are brought to justice without delay. Such forces that threaten our nation’s peace must be defeated,” he added.
Security has been stepped up in Gautam Buddh Nagar following a blast in a car near the Red Fort in Delhi on Monday (November 10, 2025) evening, police officials said.
Police teams are conducting checking drives at metro stations and crowded places at key locations to inspect suspicious vehicles, they said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida) Yamuna Prasad, along with police personnel, carried out foot patrols in Sector 62 and other crowded areas under the jurisdiction of the Sector 58 police station to review security arrangements.

The Chandni Chowk market will be closed on Tuesday (November 11, 2025) following a powerful blast near the Red Fort that killed at least eight people, the market association said.
“The shops in Chandni Chowk will be closed on Tuesday, as there is fear among traders after the blast,” said Sanjay Bhargaw, president of the Chandni Chowk Traders Association.
Mr. Bhargaw, whose shop is a few hundred metres from the blast site, said the explosion was so strong that their entire building shook. “There was chaos in the market as people started running,” he said.

Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel expressed grief on the Delhi blast and wrote that accountability must be fixed. 
“Such a massive blast could occur in the nation’s capital, Delhi, and we remain silent? Ultimately, responsibility must be fixed. We all have full faith in our security forces. But the lack of national security as a priority for the country’s leaders is worrying for the nation,” said Mr. Baghel.
“Where did the 300 kg of RDX come from in Pulwama? The answer remains unanswered. The news of the bomb blast in Delhi is extremely heartbreaking and alarming. May God grant peace to the souls of the deceased. Our deepest condolences to their families,” he said.

The Uttar Pradesh government directed the state DGP to put the entire police force in U.P. on high alert and ensure intensive checking across the state. 
“In view of the incident in Delhi, to maintain strong security and vigilance in the state, Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath ji, after receiving information about the incident from Director General of Police Shri Rajiv Krishna, has given instructions to keep the entire police force in Uttar Pradesh on high alert and ensure intensive checking and security arrangements,” reads an official statement.

Following a high-intensity explosion near the Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi on Monday (November 10, 2025) evening that killed at least eight people, police units across Telangana were placed on high alert as part of the standard security protocol.

Telangana police on high alert following deadly Red Fort blast in Delhi, deploying units to ensure public safety and vigilance.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin expressed shock and grief over the blast that occurred near Red Fort in Delhi.
“Shocked and deeply pained by the explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort that has taken several innocent lives. Visuals from the site are truly heart breaking. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, and my thoughts are with those battling injuries. Wishing them strength and a swift recovery,” Mr. Stalin wrote on X.
Madhya Pradesh Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar termed the blast near Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi as “extremely tragic” and called on the Union Government for a “thorough investigation” into it.
“The explosion in a car near Red Fort Metro Station in the capital, Delhi, is extremely tragic. The death of several innocents and the serious injury of many people is extremely painful. I pay tribute to the departed souls and wish for the speedy recovery of the injured. The government should ensure a thorough and swift investigation of this incident,” he said on X.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh expressed his condolences to those who have lost their loved ones in the blast in Delhi.
“The car blast incident in Delhi is extremely painful and disturbing. At this moment of immense grief, I extend my sincerest condolences to the families of the deceased. Praying for the speedy recovery of those injured,” Mr. Singh.

In the wake of the blast in New Delhi, a red alert has been sounded across all districts in the state of Punjab, said an official statement from Punjab police. The police force has been deployed at sensitive and vulnerable spots.
Checking of vehicles and suspicious people has been intensified, it said.

In the wake of the explosion in a vehicle near the Red Fort Metro station, all installations secured by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), including the Delhi Metro, Red Fort, government buildings, and IGI Airport, have been placed on high alert. 
The situation is being constantly monitored, and personnel are on standby, according to the CISF.

A high alert has been issued in Maharashtra following a blast in a car parked near the Red Fort metro station in New Delhi on Monday (November 10, 2025) evening, and security has been beefed up at vital installations, police said.
A senior police officer said a “precautionary alert” has been issued for Mumbai.
“All the unit commanders at the district level in Maharashtra and commissioners of cities have been instructed to remain alert to avoid any untoward incidents,” a police official said.
Police are maintaining a strong vigil and stepping up security at important places and vital installations in the state and Mumbai, the official said.

Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha said that a slow-moving vehicle stopped at a red light outside Red Fort at 6:52 p.m.
“An explosion happened in that vehicle, and due to the explosion, nearby vehicles were also damaged. All agencies, FSL, NIA, are here… Some people have died, and some have been injured in the incident. We will update you with the exact figures shortly,” said Mr. Golcha.
“The situation is being monitored. We are investigating the incident and will update you shortly,” he added.

All security agencies have also been alerted. Police in all districts of Uttar Pradesh have been put on alert. An order was issued from Lucknow to increase patrols and checks in sensitive areas. – ANI

At least 8 person has been killed after a high-intensity blast ripped through a car parked near the Red Fort on Monday evening (November 10, 2025), with the powerful explosion leaving multiple vehicles in flames and shattering window panes. Several other people are feared injured, officials said.
Police sounded a high alert in Delhi. Seven fire tenders were rushed to the spot with police cordoning off the area, the Delhi Fire Services said.

The Delhi Fire Department received a call at 7:05 p.m. regarding a blast in a four-wheeler near Red Fort, which caused fire damage to several vehicles around it. The DFS sent 7 fire tenders to the spot.
