Two teens are accused of taking their parents’ car and taking it for a joyride before crashing into several homes in Gloucester County, according to the Washington Township Police Department.
Police said that officers were called to Covered Bridge Court in Canterbury Mews in Washington Township around 2:20 a.m. on Nov. 11 for reports of a car crashing into a condominium.

When the officers got to the location, they found a white SUV parked on Rutland Court that had damage to the front-end, police said.
The officers were able to wake up the homeowners and it was discovered that two 13-year-old girls had taken their parents’ car, according to the police department.
The girls are accused of going for a joyride and then crashing the car into several homes, including a fence and air-conditioning unit.
Surviellance video of the incident obtained by NBC10 captured the moments the girls lost control of the car as it veered down Haines Mill Drive, crashed through the fence before backing up and speeding away.

One neighbor, Don Prevary, told NBC10 that he was startled awake with what sounded like gunfire outside his home in a neighborhood that he considers quiet and safe.
“She backed up really fast. I thought she was going to go through the glass door, but she didn’t. Then, she took off,” Prevary explained.
The Washington Township Police Department said the town’s building inspector inspected the impacted home and found it was still structurally safe.
No one was hurt in this incident.
Police are asking residents in the area to check their homes and properties for any damage.
