When you see squad cars with lights and sirens blaring, it means get out of the way.
And the company in the Northland that gets those vehicles ready for patrol with their electronics is Emergency Automotive Technologies, Inc.
The staff installs the wiring that hooks up to the computers, the lights, and more. They also can do the larger command centers as well.
New owners took over EATI about a year ago. And then they moved into a bigger location off Lightning Drive in Hermantown.
Wednesday, a chance to celebrate the move with the team they are proud to work with.
Andrea Altmann, co-owner, said, “We’re proud to do what we do. We feel that our job is really about making our law enforcement and our rescue staff have what they need. Oftentimes their vehicle is like their mobile office and it needs to function and keep them safe as well as the community. So we’re really proud of the work that we do.”
EATI also has locations in Oakdale and Prior Lake. They also have a contract to support the Minnesota State Patrol.
