A young schoolgirl has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car on a major road in Wigan.
Officers attended Warrington Road, in Platt Bridge, at 8.44am this morning (November 14).
Greater Manchester Police says it was called out to a collision involving the 10-year-old pedestrian.
She suffered injuries which are thankfully not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing, GMP says.

Police say the girl was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The A58 Warrington Road was closed off in both directions, near Platt Street and Liverpool Road, with heavy traffic on surrounding roads in Platt Bridge during rush hour.
The road has since fully reopened.
North West Ambulance Service was approached for comment.
