Three persons were killed and six, including the driver, sustained serious injuries after their car hit Narayana Guru Circle on B.C. Road, in Bantwal taluk of Dakshina Kannada district in Karnataka, on November 15Saturday.
The police gave names of the deceased as Ravi, 64, Nanjamma, 75, and Ramya, 23. The injured persons are car driver Subrahmanya, Susheela, Keerti Kumar, Kiran, Prashanth, and Bindu.
The police said the car was heading to Udupi from Bengaluru. The driver lost control over the vehicle and hit the circle on the Bengaluru-Mangaluru National Highway. The deceased and the injured persons are relatives.
The injured persons were undergoing treatment in nearby hospitals.
The Bantwal traffic police have registered case under Sections 281,125A, 106 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
