LEWISTON, Maine (WGME) — Lewiston police say a car drove into a hair salon in Lewiston Saturday afternoon in a two-car crash that killed one person.
Police say the two cars collided on Lisbon Street, sending one, a Ford truck, into a utility pole and the other, a Jeep, into JD Cuts Hair Salon at 1270 Lisbon Street.
The driver of the truck, Lawrence Williams, 70, was reportedly killed in the crash. Police say multiple people inside the salon were hospitalized as a result.
Police say Lisbon Street is now back open.
