The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued multiple recalls for vehicles last week, including notices for over 125,000 Toyota and Lexus vehicles.

Here’s what you need to know about the vehicle recalls published by NHTSA from Nov. 10 to Nov. 16.
Toyota recalled certain 2022-2024 Toyota Tundra, Lexus LX, and 2024 Lexus GX vehicles as debris from the manufacturing process may have contaminated the engine.
The vehicles, equipped with a V35A engine, could stall due to failed bearings caused by the debris, according to the NHTSA. The debris resulted from engine machining and may not have been cleared from the engine during manufacturing, according to the recall report.
The remedy is currently under development. However, dealers are to implement the remedy free of charge once it is available. Letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed Dec. 22, with follow up letters sent once the remedy is available

Stellantis recalled certain 2023-2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE and 2024-2025 Jeep Wrangler 4XE Plug-In Hybrid Electric vehicles, as debris in the engine may cause engine failure or a fire.
The recalled vehicles may have been built with an engine that was contaminated with sand from the casting process, according to the recall report. The contamination can lead to catastrophic engine failure, resulting in a vehicle fire or an unexpected and unrecoverable loss of propulsion.
The remedy for the recall is currently under development. Letters explaining the safety risk are to be mailed Dec. 29, with follow-up notification sent when the remedy is available.

General Motors recalled certain 2014 Buick Verano and Chevrolet Cruze vehicles as the roof rail airbags may rupture.
The left and/or right-side roof-rail airbag inflators in the recalled vehicles may contain a manufacturing defect that could result in rupture at the inflator weld joint, according to the recall report.
Dealers are to replace the roof-rail airbag modules, free of charge. Notification letters are to be mailed on Dec. 22.
