A man is fighting for his life after he was struck by a car in Birmingham.
The pedestrian was rushed to hospital in a critical condition after the serious collision on Lawley Middleway, between Digbeth and Bordesley Green, at around 6.40am today, November 18.
He received advanced trauma care at the scene before being rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Lawley Middleway, between Garrison Circus and Curzon Circus, was blocked in both directions following the collision.
Drivers were urged to avoid the area and to find alternative routes where possible.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a car at the junction of Lawley Middleway and Garrison Circus, Digbeth, at 6.40am today.
"Two ambulances and MERIT trauma team responded to the incident.
"Crews arrived to find a pedestrian, a man, in a critical condition.
"The team of medics worked together to administer advanced trauma care to the man to stabilise his condition before conveying him on blue lights to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further emergency care.”
A West Midlands Police spokesperson told BirminghamLive: "We're currently at the scene of a collision in Lawley Middleway.
"Officers are at the scene carrying out enquiries and drivers are advised to find alternate routes."
West Midlands Roads wrote on social media platform X: "Police incident – Lawley Middleway northbound (anti-clockwise Ring Road).
"Road closed between Garrison Circus and Curzon Circus. Congestion in the area.
"Allow extra time for your journey and consider alternative routes where possible."
