A driver has suffered serious injuries following a multi-car collision in Leicestershire.
Leicestershire Police were called to A426 Lutterworth Road, in Whetstone, at 6.30am this morning (November 19) following a collision between a black Audi Q8 estate and a white Vauxhall Corsa.
The vehicles are reported to have collided near to the junction with Dog and Gun Lane.
One of the drivers sustained serious injuries in the incident. They were taken to hospital where they are currently receiving treatment, according to police.
The road between Wychwood Road roundabout and Hill Lane remains closed as of Wednesday afternoon while officers continue their investigations at the scene. The force has appealed for anybody who may have witnessed the collision to get in touch.
They have also asked that anyone who may have seen either vehicle before the incident, or anyone with dashcam footage that could help, to get in contact.
