A 93-year-old man has tragically died after being hit by a car.
Emergency services scrambled to Fowlds Street, Kilmarnock, in Ayrshire at around 2.40pm on Wednesday, November 19, after reports of a crash involving a green BMW TDS Touring and a pedestrian.
The man was taken to hospital but sadly died today, November 20.

We reported yesterday that police closed off the busy road for a number of hours to carry out investigations.
Cops are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
Sergeant Brian Simpson, from Ayrshire Roads Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died as a result of this crash.
“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.
“I would also appeal for anyone who was in the area and has dash cam or private CCTV footage which could assist to get in touch.”
